  6. As an AZ resident, it is less than ok to visit. I feel like every which way I am getting gouged. My favorite beach is Ocean Beach, San Diego but I am starting notice changes that are not for the better there. A no frills hotel room there is in the high hundreds. It is less expensive for me to fly to the Port St Lucie area of Florida and stay with relatives. The beaches I frequent there are much less crowded.

  11. Make sure you pack the bug spray in VT, or any other area in that region , because the mosquitoes and gnats are horrendous there in the summer. NH coast is nearby which is good. The skiing is much better in New England too, sans places like Killington which can get very crowded, but then again, it can take hours upon hours to drive to Copper Mountain from Denver along I-70.

  17. Coco Taveras I used to live in CT too, and moved out when I was 25, and that was over 25 years ago. I have lived in AZ for the greater part of the decade, but I have lived in Omaha, NE from the mid 90s to the 00s. My recommendation is if you are going to live anywhere in Iowa and work is a priority, then I would look at areas like Crescent, IA or Glenwood, IA. Both towns are nice and the have forested areas within the loess hills. Both are within 25 minutes from Omaha. Omaha itself, is overall, good too, but there are areas that are more prone to crime, but nothing like the worst parts of NY, Bridgeport, New Haven, and Hartford. IMO, Dubuque, IA is the most scenic town of all and it is in the northeastern part of the state near the Mississippi River. However, it is far away from anything cosmopolitan. In SD, Sioux Falls is the best bet for business opportunities, but lacks topography. It is a very safe town too, but I would be less apt to call it a city. The western part of the state, especially the Black Hills, is more interesting scenically, but the cost of living in desirable areas near Rapid City might be high relative to one’s income. However, as far as all the places I mentioned, they are not going to be even close to areas like Westport, Greenwich, New Canaan etc. Hope that helps you. Regarding Ohio and Kentucky, I am not too familiar with either of them, other than passing through and staying for a night or two. There are a few nice towns along Lake Eerie in northern Ohio near Sandusky. You can easily drive to them from CT as a first step in your relocation plan. The distance, depending on where you live in CT, is no more than 8-10 hours by car (approximately 500 miles). If you fly, then fly into Omaha Epply, and you can scout out parts of western Iowa and the Sioux Falls area. Good luck with your plans, hope that helped.

  25. Check out Yavapai County, Arizona, as in the Prescott area. Not as cold as Wyoming in the winter and not as hot as Phoenix in the summer. Maybe 95 at the highest. Relatively remote, but close to Flagstaff. If you get tired of the winter weather there, you can easily add 30 degrees by dropping in elevation to the northern outskirts of Phoenix. Yavapai County has some similar scenery to Wyoming, with less crime than either Phoenix or (definitely) Memphis.

  39. Stayed in Sea Isle back in the summer of 86, and it seemed nice back then, not sure what it is like now, since I have not been there since then, but it was nicer than Wildwood, Seaside, and the more crowded North Jersey beaches.
