  1. They had nice fountains when I visited there years ago. It was actually less expensive to fly out of KC airport compared to the Omaha Epply Airport. Flew to Florida several times when I lived in Omaha and made the 180 mile drive to KC airport and saved between 150 and 200 dollars including the parking and the gas, but that was the early 2000s However, there was a lot of acreage for not much of an airport on the outskirts of the city proper. Bathrooms?? Who needs them??

  2.  @jasonpowell121  Me Southern AZ, 78 degrees today. Been away from Omaha for about a decade and I do not miss those Arctic Blasts either. Unlike Florida, AZ, where I live, does get around 40 at night, due to it’s lack of proximity to any large body of water.

  3.  @HosCreates  Stay warm, but the summers can be brutal here as you probably know. Sometimes I miss seeing green grass and deciduous trees.

  4. Boring, landlocked, isolated from major cities (does Omaha or Des Moines count?) summers hot, winters can be harsh, tornado alley, crime, drivers, taxes, and the schools are less than adequate.

  5. KS5040 I left Omaha in the rear view close to a decade ago. Some good memories there, but that’s it. You summed up Omaha too, except it is about 5 degrees colder on average in the winter.
