  2. I heard that in most call centers they do not let you draw or do puzzles these days, because you are in queue most of the time. I worked in one during college over 25 years ago and it was like a party. We were able to read, do homework, talk to our neighbors, and date etc. Nobody ever micromanaged you and if you showed up, they were more than ecstatic.

  7. Lea Pilcher The rural areas are the worst, I tried that for two years, and although it was near both Omaha and Lincoln, it was no Mayberry like you said. Luckily I worked many hours in Omaha and went school at night to ease the pain/nightmare. Iowa was slightly better, but I always got a bad vibe in SD, especially the eastern part. My only introduction to ND was Beach, ND near Roosevelt NP, but I always assumed it would be similar to SD. From my experience, some of the friendliest people I met were in eastern Colorado in the high plains region from 30 to 100 miles east of Denver. In comparison to other rural areas, people were more conversational and were less uptight towards outsiders.

  9. Guessing: MN nice, winter, bridges, taxes, people getting priced out, isolated, summer bugs, left leaning within a more conservative state as a whole, traffic, less than adequate public transit, and frequent road construction.

  11. Do not feel bad, Omaha did that to me and now it is a distant memory in another universe.

  15. Got a few, but I was amazed that I got the first one. MN people are nicer in AZ because there are more people from different regions here or they are Snowbirds Altogether.
