  3. Phoenix is bad too, in most parts of the city sans the far far north, you can almost guarantee you will be confronted by someone who wants money, whether passively or aggressively. Areas that were safe 20 to 30 years ago are unrecognizable today.

  4. Wish I new that back then when I became a teacher. Now 24 years later, it is probably one of the more secure jobs because nobody wants to do it or go into it. Luckily I live in, what was once, an inexpensive area, has become no longer affordable to the average wage earner. Not a renter, thank God, been there many times before, but rents in my area can easily exceed 2500 for an apartment. Condos and Townhomes are a rip off with the ever increasing HOA fees.

  6. Can’t even go to the once upon a time Dollar Stores and the like, without paying too much for residual junk or realizing that there is nothing available. Thrift stores too are picked dry.
