LegendMeadow How about eliminating the EXCESSIVE OVERSUBSIDIZATION of the automobile (car, BUS, and TRUCK) by requiring motorists (and especially the energy and automotive corporations) to support the highway network NATIONWIDE, using their OWN TAX DOLLARS, and NOT money from those who don't even own a personal vehicle!!

I notice that no one here mentioned the fact that in high-dendity residential areas, wastes can be collected, processed, AND recycled MUCH EASIER than in a suburban area, simply because of the fact that there's MUCH LESS AUTOMOTIVE USE!! Now, Los Angeles may be a "metropolis"; however, to call it a "city" would be quite erroneous, since cities are built to serve its citizens AT THE HUMAN (pedestrian) LEVEL, with WALKABLE NEIGHBORHOODS and an EFFICIENT transit system which is NOT BASED ON THE AUTOMOBILE!! Los Angeles COULD HAVE been a fine example of what a TRUE, REAL CITY would be like, if some EVIL BASTARD didn't fall in love with Hitler's autobahn and blast it all over the southland, thus RUINING AN ENTIRE GENERATION of humanity with the ISOLATIONISM the automobile forces upon its users, as well as the "Hitler strips" themselves, which do numerous environmental and social damages in their own right!! LOS ANGELES BADLY FUCKED ITSELF UP, SIMPLY BY ADOPTING HITLER OVER HUNTINGTON!!!!

  4. I HATE TOUCANS The only "car" responsible for the sprawl is the MOTORCAR! Rail transit would've allowed for the development of "density fingers" extending out from the central city core, like the tentacles on an octopus. Between those "fingers", there would be green space, either for parkland/recreational use, or VERY LOW DENSITY LIVING (50 homes per square kilometre). It was the automobile that took whatever space there would've been, and filled it all in with nothing but the inhuman, antihuman, and SUBHUMAN setup of having to depend on rubber tires/steering wheels for each and every transportation requirement!!!! Somewhere else on this post, I mention a good, strong 7.8 earthquake, with several 6.9 aftershocks; this would bring Hitler's original development crashing to the ground, while the rail system is operational within MERE HOURS!! This even includes the SUBWAY!!!!
