  1. If any group you're talking to doesn't allow you to opt out of choosing pronouns ... they're not "being kind". They're using coercion. Which, IMO, is in no way kind! So maybe ask them, do you believe coercing people is kind? And pin them down to a yes or no. If yes, then say, I refuse to be coerced. If no, then "excellent!, So you will agree not to coerce me to state my pronouns. Thanks!" Then just move the conversation on immediately
