  1. Yes. Why the hell aren't we energy independent? I had solar panels fitted and on most days I create enough electricity for an entire 24hours of usage. If battery technology was much improved, and with the right investment it would be, I would be able to store the plentiful excess energy I create and use it over that 24hr period. We could be world leaders in energy storage technology if we put our minds to it, innovation in energy storage is key for the future of energy generation. We need to get much much smarter at it.
