Women's rights to safety, to jobs, to services has been dramatically rolled back in the last couple of years. It's disheartening and infuriating in equal measure

@shevy7197 Well as I say, actual feminists are concerned about women around the world, not just in the West.

My father was none of those things though unfortunately. He was brought up in 1930's poverty and openly hated women, saw them as beneath him in every respect. He was 100% present in my life but fully absent at the same time. He used the house as a hotel and the females in it, as servants, he's why I became a feminist. The men in our lives are important, crucial. The way they treat us shapes how we see them and all other men, treat us like inferiors, don't be surprised when you get pushback

@simonclare100 I know he was a very bad example of "manhood". I've met many wonderful men and am friends with many now. Bring around him was an education I tell you! But I did quickly realise he was one of the more extreme examples of shitbaggery lol High five 🤚
