  1. This is actually the best speech he's ever made My first thought was "yeah you first Boris" but then I actually listened to him and for the first time in his life he's made a speech that actually matters and should be listened to.

  2. Did you actually listen to the speech? 🤦🏻‍♀️ He specifically said that the way beyond this is through investment, global markets and innovation. Very much looking forward not back. Listen to it. I'm not a Boris fan, never been a Tory, and my first thought was, well ok Boris, you grow up first. But then I listened to him, difficult though it was through his bumbling and stumbling. But he's advocating for all the ways in which capitalism, when harnessing individual greed, gets things done. When I was a kid, as most kids are, I hated capitalism, its greed and destruction all in the name of growth and profit. And sure enough it's got us to where we are now. But it stands to reason therefore, that it's our best way out of it too.
