The "affirmation" model that all therapists and counselors have been FORCED to adopt, and why therapists left the tavistock in droves, basically says that IF someone comes in and says they might be the opposite gender to their birth sex then they ARE and should be treated as such. It's the only condition where essentially anyone can walk in and self diagnose. The self affirmation model is the exact opposite of ethical treatment and self diagnosis of ANY OTHER illness is not allowed, not should it be!!! Can you imagine. 🤦‍♀️

  3. Other hospitals, such as Great Ormond Street are going to be taking over. So treatment of children is still going to be happening. It's just moving the problem.
