  1. I've worked for do-gooder charities with youths in prison. These kids go through the motions to say they've attended the sessions but that's all it is. Dogooding doesn't work, they the government throws hundreds of thousands of pounds at charities who talk a good game and write great proposals with flowery language. That achieve exactly fuck all. Absolute waste of tax payers' money. But the do-gooders and the government can sleep at night thinking they've done a good job. When am they've done is a box ticking exercise and achieved nothing in reality. These kids need the wake-up call that only guys that have walked the walk can give them. Mealy mouthed support never achieved anything. Kids just laugh at it. They live in the real world. The help programmes need to live in the real world of bad language and harsh reality too. Totally agree. This guy isn't a nice guy, I don't like him personally but if his methods achieve results, if stop and search achieves results those are the methods that need to be used. Otherwise, fuck all changes. Simple as that I tell you what, the programme he's putting together in money terms is a drop in the ocean compared to the money that's wasted on well meaning charities in the sector. I've been one of those do-gooders and I got so disillusioned by what I saw, the way the charities wrote their tenders compared to the actual results they got ie. zero A total waste of money from what I saw. It was depressing and soul destroying to be part of. I couldn't be part of it. It was a charade and individuals built lucrative careers on it. The cynic in me thinks they knew it was all pointless but just didn't care.
