  1. So the lesson here is to swallow as much of the sputum you produce as possible. It's full of viruses/bacteria that your immune system needs to "see" in the digestive tract to give another way for an immune response to be created against the bacteria/viruses we've breathed in. Isn't the human body FABULOUS
