  1. People with life limiting, incurable diseases that severely curtail someone's quality of life deserve the right to choose a dignified death at a time and place of their choice, giving them the chance to say their goodbyes to their loved ones. As a sufferer myself, I firmly believe this.

  2.  @fionnaheller1873  I understand your concerns and share them. I think that this option has to be very rigorously controlled and monitored by an external ombudsman. I do feel, however, that it does need to be an option in extreme situations.

Vested interests and nefarious people of all kinds have to carefully uncovered and filtered out of the process, hence the need for rigorous discussion both before legalising a process and continual, ongoing oversight to pick up any rogue elements or misguided decisions along the way
