  2. It wasn't the Victorians who categorised health and disease in terms of "humours". Those beliefs pre-date the Victorians by 100s, even 1000s of years, maybe to the ancient Greeks. The Victorians were becoming more enlightened with the invention of the microscope. It still took a while for modern medicine to develop but they were getting there.
