  1. They are lectures. The conversations he has are with himself, in front of other people. That's his speaking style. He's self aware enough to realise and state that it is a form of worship. And his audiences do seem to worship him. Like an evangelical preacher Or a rock band. It's definitely male hero worship. It's like Bill Hicks, always wanted to be a rock star. Towards the end of his career, not long before his tragic early death from cancer. He at least achieved that rock star status with his gigs in the UK.
