It's transhumanists and people who want to choose their own sex rather than accepting the way they were born, and the doctors who are experimenting to do these things now, who are trying to be god.
Plus the scientists who take a gene from one plant or animal and put it into a plant or animal that doesn't have it naturally, to try to enhance yield.
They're the ones who are playing god.
Mary Shelley commented on it in Frankenstein. When you play god, no good can come from it.
We ARE all flawed, we don't know everything. We can't see the horrific, far reaching consequences of our actions, we bring about our own destruction with our hubris.
Time and again as civilisations grow and prosper, they get too big for themselves and collapse .
They become too successful, they overextend themselves and boom it all comes crashing down.
History repeats itself because we're all flawed. We ARE only human, we're not gods.
