It's not that she didn't grow with him, she's saying he didn't grow with her. Ideally both people would grow together. Unfortunately that often doesn't happen and I'm not even sure people getting married think about that happening. That's why it's so important getting to know someone really well before getting married in the first place. So that both parties can see what the other person wants from life, from themselves, from the relationship, from the marriage. It's really important to start growing together before committing to marriage.
