2:55 This has been happening since the 80's The structure of the strong, connected family unit as a bedrock to build a society and community on has broken down almost completely already. It's been doing so for decades. Previous families pre 1940's were FAR from perfect. The dysfunction there was what led to the family breakdowns throughout the 60's and onwards. People need help with conflict resolution and relationship building skills to make the family structure healthier than it's EVER been. That's my view in any case. There's no point keeping families together if those families ar themselves dysfunctional, as has always been the case for the majority of people, human nature being what it is. From the 60's onwards people were able to break away from them. And often for good and understandable reasons. Dysfunctional family units aren't the answer. Traditional societies have "stable" families... but they produce incredibly unhappy people let's face it. Stable, functional*, *HEALTHY families are what's needed.
