  1. These kids are indulged, spoiled little kids who have been coddled all of their lives. They don't have any problems, they never have, so they've got to invent them to give themselves a personality, that their immaturity hasn't allowed them to develop. They haven't had a proper childhood and a proper developmental pathway.

They're so indulged and protected from life's little knocks that they haven't had the opportunity to gain confidence from overcoming them, from having the chance to develop any resilience or sense of agency. They're psychologically stunted and immature through lack of any challenge.
