While kids are being abused, if that abuse is seen as "normal", it's "just the way things are".... because they're children without the perspective to tell them that actually this ISN'T normal and this ISN'T the way things are.... they will accept it and even defend it. I've been an abused kid. I defended my abuser But when those kids grow up and actually gain some adult perspective they look back and see the abuse for what it was and they look back at ALL the perpetrators with hatred, not only that they look at ALL the adults that should have said something, that should have intervened to protect them..... and hold them responsible too. Don't be that person that stands silently by while children are being abused when you could have spoken up and protected them.

  3. We used to get our identity from the type of music we listened to. That would be tribe and the identity we'd have. You'd be a punk, or a heavy metal fan, a new romantic etc etc It was an identity, but there wasn't a whole mindset that was programmed with it.
