  1. War makes money for a lot of people. The people on the ground who do the fighting are the meat in the sausage machine. They're collateral damage. We call ourselves a civilised species? We'll be civilised when we stop resorting to violence to solve problems. Violence never once solved a problem, it just creates more. But like i say, war is a massive money making industrial complex. Too many people are invested in keeping conflict going. Lord Of War, a film with Nicholas Cage is a great indictment of the global arms trade. People like him read the newspapers and rub their hands with glee when they see new conflicts break out. Their only incentive is to keep them going and create more. Not to aim for peace. Where's the profit in that?
