The conspiracy theorist in me almost has me thinking this movie was written poorly on purpose, or forced to be written poorly on purpose by the muckymucks at the tippytop who have no interest in embracing the idea that women can be leading characters in a superhero movie. But, thats honestly giving Disney CEOs and such too much credit 😂 that level of manipulation requires comic book supervillan planning and im sure its more a case of the opposite - a complete lack of oversight by those at the top to make sure this movie would actually be any good.
