Tbh i think we all saw it coming after Endgame. Its the same problem with shōnen anime like Naruto and DBZ. The story arc works when normal people grow into superheros and overcome what would otherwise be impossible odds to save the world. You can start small, like Ironman 1 which is just tony escaping a prison and defeating his ex business person who wants his tech. Build that story slowly until a team of characters with clear flaws need to work together to save the world. Throw a twist where the villan wins (for a while), a crowd favorite sacrifices himself for the ultimate victory and you got a banger of a story. Endgame, Naruto vs Pain, Goku vs Vegeta (or Frieza). But after that climax, the stories always get rediculous. Theres always another bigger bad guy and now the hero has to get even stronger and the same plot points get repeated over and over until people stop buying your comic because its just the same shit over and over.
