I’m a Catholic, life long, don’t care that some Christians say we’re evil, don’t let it bother me. Owens became a Catholic and instantly started talking about persecution, it’s odd.

@virginia2949 what are you talking about? The US is a Christian majority county, no one is told not to say Merry Xmas. You seem to need to feel like a victim. Why is that? Many religious people just go to church, worship and practice their faith and don’t need to feel persecuted.

@virginia2949 that’s not true, and Happy Holidays has always been used because Xmas and N Ys is a week apart. The carol Happy Holidays was written in 1920, old cards used that greeting. Some people use it in case people don’t celebrate Xmas, I did as a teen when I worked in a store, it doesn’t take Xmas away. The victimhood and hostility destroys the season. Trump said he brought it back and lied saying Obama never said Merry Christmas, there are video compilations of Obama saying it repeatedly, there are also cards from Trump wishing Happy Holidays. The war was invented by Bill O’Reilly and FOX pushed it to fear monger. I love Xmas and hate this rhetoric, it’s just embarrassing.

@virginia2949 yes it’s an abbreviation, the word for Christ in Greek started with an X that’s how that originated, I love how the war against Christmas types act offended by it. “ Xmas” doesn’t take Christ out of Christmas. Jesus would hate how people act in his name. Jeanine Pierro brags about how she stares people down and screams Merry Christmas at them. It’s really sad to see this.

And why wouldn’t people want to not offend people? That would be the Christian thing to do. If you don’t know someone’s religion why not just wish Happy Holidays? ( Holy Days) You’re making it about you.
