  1. Mask wearing would be more comparable to seat belts, no need to give up cars but observe a safety precaution. And schools reopened, the shut down was temporary because of a global pandemic, not quite the same as an everyday experience such as driving. It would be interesting to see the reaction if the govt had taken the stance of letting people die instead of inconveniencing people or hurting businesses.
