NM was incarcerated for a bombing campaign which in most African countries would carry the death sentence in the 1960s and a major funder of NM and his nutcase wife WMM was a prominent SA Zionist family. The Noble Peace Prize winner and ANC Leader then from SA was Chief Albert Luthuli who was found dead in mysterious circumstances,this was obviously immediately blamed on the Apartheid regime forces but within the ANC Liberation Movement there were those who suspected that NM was involved as he and AL had frequently clashed on the issue of starting an Armed Struggle. Once AL was out of the way then NM and his ANC inner circle started their armed struggle,historicaly the most unsuccesful armed struggle amongst all the African Liberation Movements in African history. Politicaly though the ANC was extremely succesful both Internationally with isolating the Apartheid regime via Sanctions and Nationally from 1976( Soweto Uprisings) onwards it becoming the prime representative of the Black African populations aspirations for freedom from oppresion.This came at the cost of the Black Conciousness Movement of Steve Biko. Eventually the Apartheid regime folded under the International Sanctions especially after the USA introduced their Sanctions in 1980,a Santions Bill in which Senator Chucky Schummer was instrumental.Yes the same Schummer that is an acknowledged Staunch Zionist and supporter of the Israeli States campaign in Gaza after 7 October. With the unbanning of the ANC and release of NM by FWDK in 1991 the path was opened to the CODESA negotiations that led to the 1994 elections that bought the ANC to power where it still stays for the moment.( The Afrikaaner Elites had meetings with the ANC in Exile in the 1980s on arranging a transfer of power to the ANC,something they had been discussing internally since the early 1970s behind the backs of the more Hardline Nationalists in their ranks.)
