  1. The Death penalty is a more Humane way of dealing with certain Crimes. And is also a lot less of a load on the Taxpayer.

  2.  @dustinnukem5458  So lawyers make less money with a life sentence vs the death penalty due to the legal costs of the appeal process? If that is the case then maybe it is time to switch focus on to the Legal profession and the framework for judicial punishment. I highly doubt that anything will be done to correct the system because of the complexity of doing so and because it entails reducing the profitability for a very powerful lobby group. The corrections will only occur after a apocalyptic type event - WW3/Asteroid impact /Super Volcanoe eruption etc. It will either be a Military styled solution or a Regression to a Wild West type scenario depending on how much of a functional Military remains to take control or not.
