@Sharktankgaming Contrast that to the success of the Lusitanian leader Viriathus with a much smaller force than Boudica had.He initiated his campaign after the Roman massacre of the Lusitanians and had multiple victories against larger Roman forces but was ultimately murdered by 3 traitors within his ranks.

And the " Pyrinos Polemos " - the " Fiery Wars " fought against the Lusitanian tribe ( Celtiberians ) from 155 to 139 BC as well as the Numantine war ending 133 BC.

@Miguel-ed9sr My parents as well. Salazar was a soft Authoritarian not anywhere close to the Dictators circulating in Europe at that time. He was known as Salazar the Honest for a reason and yes he died with no money, in fact the State still owed him money. Most people forget that he came from a poor family and that he didn't want to be buried in the Hero's Acre but in his village of origin next to his parents, his request was adhered to. In contrast we have the current political establishment which is basically just a massive Criminal Cartel that have sold the National Sovereignty away.

@Ali-bu6lo Correct. Salazar also sent a letter to Hitler denouncing the invasion of Poland - Catholic country. This wasn't well received by the German leader. The utilisation of the Azores by the Allies further enraged Hitler who tried to get Franco to invade Portugal but he received a warning from the Allies that he would be viewed as a enemy and Spain would be attacked.
