  1. Ukrainians, Poles, and Germans all have a military past which was not exemplary in historical context. Nevertheless, in the modern democratic context, enough of a martial past has to be used to forged a defensive future. There has been a French-German alliance. I hope the Polish-Ukrainian alliance is not seen as a threat. I believe the UK is a key player in a future arms industry partnership with Poland and Ukraine. I hope the UK is not laggards joining the party. If governance issues even Germany has raises are part of a reform package, maybe the UK can reconsider the EU.
