It is these Ukrainian local political BS which undermines international support for their cause. In real democracies, these things are healthy and necessary to prevent corruption. This particular MP has a large international following, including me. I have never heard him utter a local platform. His main focus is always on the war. IMO, Ukraine is to large a country to have an exclusive centralized government. Each Oblast needs to rights in certain areas which the Federal government in Kyiv does not control or has only influence but limited input. But I am from the US and we enjoy a long history of State control over many areas of life.
