  2.  @edenbreckhouse  See the bible as a 3000 year old self help book. A collection of stories and parables which if you follow will improve your life. God is the metaphorically all seeing eye that judges you (and punishes) when you fail to follow the rules. He is the ultimate ideal of self improvement and pinical of human possibility.
