  1. You can not compare the USA with the EU. America is a far more stable and homogeneous country. The USA has a single language, culture, currency and have been a single entity for a far longer period of time. The EU in comparison is a mess (The UK had a very different legal system). But culturally member states will resit further integration, alot of the individual member states identity can be traced back 1000 years.

  3. The amusing thing is Norway probably contributes huge amounts of money to the EU budget and its entire trade policy, and numerous laws are dictated to it by Brussels. You have no say in anything. It was why the UK turned down May's Brexit deal.
