@daijirokatoh3769 your not reporting any facts. Harry is clearly to young to remember how bad the EU was for British farming.
2
@daijirokatoh3769 Harry is the name of the young farmer in the video. Did you watch it?
2
People forget how worthless lambs while in the EU. All through the 90s and 00s farmers were literally giving them away, baby calfs were being shot because they were worthless. Since 2016 farmers have made money and typically prices have been good. Harry is to young to remember the reality of being the EU.
2
@siewheilou399 Uk farmers never did. We always had a strong pound. Are markets were flooded by cheaper imports and our exports were more expensive. The only time uk farmers profited from being part of the single market was in 2016 after we voted to leave.
2
@buk3695 farm gate prices are still very high. Milk, wheat and beef. All are currently very high, farmers are making money.

This is rubbish. People forget how worthless lambs while in the EU. All through the 90s and 00s farmers were literally giving them away, baby calfs were being shot because they were worthless. lambs have dropped because they increased to such a high level no one was willing to pay for them anymore.

British farming was destroyed by being in the EU. Due to lack of barriers to trade our markets were flooded by cheaper imports and made our products worthless.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 this is why the remain side lost. You are reporting half truths.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 it was bad!!
1
@daijirokatoh3769 A hostile nation? Seriously if i were you id more concerned about Russia. You know, it being an actual threat.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 It is our arms, money and training currently protecting Europe. You would probably have a Russian army on EU borders if it wasn't for Boris. A thank you may be nice.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 we are the 2nd biggest contributors. It was our army training Ukrainan forces currently and before the out break of the war. Their is a reason why Boris is highly regarded in the Ukraine. While Germany and France can not be trusted.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 it is. I pay UK taxes. The UK is the 2nd biggest contributors. My money is being used to protect Europe.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 At the end of the day. His electorate trusted him and the people of Eastern Europe trust him. They certainly don't trust Macron or the German president, or ex German chancellor.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 The British are still leading the way politically. We supply battle tanks while the rest of Europe watches and waits!!
1
@daijirokatoh3769 So you are counting the whole EU as a block? Great.
1
@daijirokatoh3769 America leads the way. We are 2nd.
1
@teniente_snafu The UK is a mixed economy. We have a good environment for small businesses and a NHS and welfare state to support you if you get ill.
1
@teniente_snafu if you want a vision of a communist state read read George Orwells 1984!! If you can't incentivise people with money to work all you have left is fear and tyranny.
1
@trident6547 ...and none of them have been allowed to supply tanks to Ukraine. Why is that? Putin is clearly whispering in Germanys ear.
1
@andrewthomas695 It alot better than it was. The milk price paid to farmers in 2016 before the vote was 13p it is 48p now.
1
@andrewthomas695 After 2016 sheep farmers have made enough money to retire. Even the bad ones.
1
@buk3695 yes, but the pound crashed after the vote (it made our exports more competitive) and we were still in the single market. It was a win win for farmers!!
1
@buk3695 yes, but we are talking about farming. A drop in the pound, after the vote to leave, ment we had an export market with 300 million people with no barriers to trade. This wasn't speculation, this actually happened. Farm gate prices after the Brexit vote sky rocketed.
1
@buk3695 Farmers aren't stupid. Brexit saved UK farming. Its why this youtube video in my opinion is so idiotic.

British farming was destroyed by being in the EU. Due to lack of barriers to trade our markets were flooded by cheaper imports and made our products worthless.
1
@Tdot6 If you look at countries like Canada and Australia who have a very similar set up to the UK, they haven't outsourced all their decision making powers and signed comprehensive free trade agreements to a giant trading block. They have some of the highest standards of living in the world and are very very rich.
1
?? Between 2016 and now. Farming in the UK has been booming.
1
Well dairy farmers aren't. They were being paid 13p a litre in 2016. They are being paid 50p a litre now.
1
A lack of barriers to trade just means your market is going to be flooded by imports and your products are going to be worthless. Its what happened to farmers while we were in the EU. Its basic economics!!
