  1. I actually agree, we talked endlessly about Englands ancient monarchy but no mention was given to Scotlands. The foundation of Great Britain was when James the 6th of Scotland was invited to be King of England after all.

  2. ​@ganndeber1621 sigh, I said the foundations. England and Scotland had 100s of years of separated kings and queens. When Queen Elizabeth died without an heir England invited James the 6th of Scotland to be its king. Both countries from that point on had the same head of state. This happened in 1604, 100 years before the act of union.

  3. ​​​ @scottyfive4319 William the conqueror, was forced on England. He invaded, decapitated the English ruling class and replaced them with norman nobles, stole all the land, wiped out 500 years of history, replaced the English language with French and murdered half the population on England.
