  5. The issue is discipline. Instead of sticking together when things got tough, they ruthlessly replaced a leader who was elected by the membership and electorate with someone nobody wanted. How can you hold together a country when you can't even hold together your party? So why would anyone trust them again?

  8. Ashley made a very interesting point. Politics no longer matters. If the markets don't like them, they will just destroy them. Does our democracy even matter any more?
