  4. I've just had two kids. I must be in the minority. Getting a competent wife and staying close to extended family is my advice.

I suppose I live in a time and country where we have a huge surplus of cheap food, access to free maternity care, free healthcare, access to childcare benifits, free drugs, dentistry and also central heating. My house is always warm. It's arguably never been safer to bring a child into the world.
