  1.  @bobjohnbowles  it's a system that has evolved over 1000 years. The houses of lords and commons is the only Parliament that has survived while so many have collapsed. It works like its supposed too, it settles arguments and in its current form prevents civil war.

  2.  @bobjohnbowles  The system is not broken, no one likes Labour. They were traditionally the party of the trade union, no one is part of a union any more.

  4.  @bobjohnbowles  yes, they were a vital part of raising living standards. About 100 years ago. Alot of people are self employed now. All the factory workers and coal mines are gone!!
