  1. it's complicated debate. It is not unreasonable to ask for a 3-4% annual increase in pay. But alot of people aren't even getting that. But If you're wanting 10% the money needs to be found from somewhere. A small company with 50 people averaging £30000 wages would need to sell an extra £1.8 million worth of goods or put your prices up. Based on the current economic climate and increased costs selling more is hard. And as for the public sector you can't keep printing money and taxing people.
