  1. Perception isn't reality. You can still buy a house a house, for every £4000 you save the government will give you an extra £1000. And with the help to buy scheme you only need a 5% deposite. For a £150000 house you only need £7500. The monthly mortgage repayments are then cheaper than rent. Is that unachievable for two people saving?

  3. A slight movement to the left is probably the answer and id argue politically the demand exists. But its got to be done in a way that suits the English mentality, you can't just try and change the rules to suit your own needs.
