  1. Thats exactly what labour keep doing!! They changed the leadership rules to an electoral college system and want to change the way we vote to proportional representation because they keep loosing!! Even though the system gives them an advantage.

  2. The fixed term parliment was only brought in the year 2010 to stabalise the liberal/conservative coalition. They can arguably be a very dangerous way of doing things. If you have weak goverment who can't pass laws or move the country forward you have to wait a full term before you can get rid of them. Remember Brexit anyone??

  3. no we don't, our country is fluid and we can role with different circumstances. Our system is very clever, stable and has evolved through trial and error over 1000 years.

  5.  @spitfirehunter4117  what is? That is exactly what happened during Brexit. We had a hung parliament that couldn't pass any laws because no one could agree and because of the fixed term parliment idea we couldn't hold an election to get a new government and house of commons. If I recall we had to pass another law so we could hold an election. It was a mess!!
