  1. I'm sorry England has had a pretty stable and evolving system for 800 years (not taking in to account the civil war). The French are on the 5th Republic in 200 years. So please explain in detail why we want to be like France again?

  2. The conservatives are not conservatives. They are very liberal leaning. They just absorb the most popular ideas of the day. It is why they have lasted for so long.

  3. Phil, historically labour have never been popular here. Even Tony Blair was a mild version of conservativism. We have probably had one true Labour government and that was Clement Attlee just after the war.
