  2. The Brits have out played everyone. The penny hasn't dropped. They have built up a huge amount of political capital with Eastern EU nations with their swift action regarding the Russian/Ukrainan war. They dont trust France or Germany and they're not going to go along with any negative consequences if the UK decided to rip up the protocol. They need America and England. The UK are choosing to play nice, the Torys have a 80 seat majority and can pass anti-protocol legislation is they want.
