@dondoodatOk £20000 is for a large house. You can get a £5000 grant and the average pump is £7000. Then, depending on the size of the house you will need on average £5000 for installation. So you are going to need a spare £7000 just to switch from a normal boiler to a heat pump for a small house.

@dondoodatI don't own a large house. But I can guarantee that if landlords are forced to install heat pumps, all the added costs will be placed on to your rent.

@dondoodatI saw a program on the bbc, 2 days ago. It cost the house £20000, a £5000 grant was available and a team of builders had to install all new pipes, radiators and a giant pump at the front of the house. It took them days to complete the project.
