  1. On a global scale we still have military, political and economic influence within Europe (NATO and EU) but at the same time branched into the Pacific and Asia with AUKUS and the CPTPP. This region will account for 30% of global growth by 2030. And its not just about trade, it about geo politics. By the UK joining the TPP, they can veto China's membership. Which keeps Japan and Australia very happy.

  2. ​ @mickreaddin4979 We have a massive influence in the EU via NATO. Countries like Poland trust Great Britain far greater than France and Germany. And part of territory is still in the EU, we still have free market access. And China applied to join the tpp the same as the UK, it was not allowed to join. While we were greater with open arms.

  3. ​ @mickreaddin4979 AUKUS isn't to do with trade but it reminds potential rivals we have them surrounded. It is effectively NATO but in the Pacific and increases our political influences in that region.

  4. ​​ @mickreaddin4979 es we do. Any factory built in Northern Ireland has tarrif free access to the EU single market. Northern Ireland is part of the UK. Eastern EU nations prefer to side with the UK and not France or Germany. Why do the think managed to get consessions on the Northern Ireland Protocol?
