Comments by "Incog B" (@incogb6696) on "Nobel Winners in Economics Fail to Examine Structural Causes of Poverty" video.
I was planning to sign up for MIT's unique program: Data, Economics, and Development Policy. Since young, I knew the way to alleviate poverty would be through economics. I'm not a math person per-day but when looking at the coursework, it kind of seemed "bleh" for lack of better word. There should be a way that data correlates directly to lowering the poverty rate. There are things causing poverty. We should be able to lower these things. Many people say it is "sooo complex" and yes Economics can be hard to understand at first. But I truly believe we can simplify it. Isn't that-- or shouldn't that be the point of experts in specialized fields? To simplify it? Also, I appreciate David appearing on this segment however him saying poverty will not go away... Where does that assumption come from? I'm also very involved with UNICEF, and their whole mission is to reduce the number to "ZERO." Every year the poverty rate does go down significantly, partly due to their efforts. But we need to get rid of this mentality that it is "too complex" or even uttering the words "not possible." SAYS WHO?

You are partially right. But "hugely" wrong.
