You're supposed to recharge them every 3-4 months so leaving the unit in your car hoping for the best is irresponsible.

I bought the DeWalt pump a 2-3 years ago and I'm very happy with it. If the Milwaukee M18 unit was available back then I would have bought that one. But I only use my pump to adjust my tires with change or weather and check the air pressure periodically. No complaints whatsoever since I've owned it. Great job to Milwaukee on their M18 air pump!

@PhenomII1090T . Why would you even consider buying a piece of garbage that may or may not work during an emergency? Multi-tools like the ones in the video are garbage. Only a fool would buy them. If you want something reliable for emergencies then buy separate quality tools. Also, giving yourself thumbs up makes you look like a fool looking for validation.

It seems that these batteries are pretty interchangeable in terms of performance. It really comes down to which tools we prefer and if need be carry additional batteries. I have both Milwaukee and DeWalt tools because each has their own strengths. It sucks having to buy additional batteries and chargers but I prefer to have the best tools available to get the job done right and the cost is secondary.

Marketing. People eat it up like sheep.

@txshender . I'm no engineering student but I have a minor in statistics. I agree in taking these results with a grain of salt but given these might be the only data points we have for consumer purposes I would say that a rough estimate of tolerances is perfectly acceptable. I think these experiments in the PF channel are very useful and more times than not they will represent statistical performance of given products in relation to others. At 18:30 the Bahco wrench had a failure point of 1334 lbs. Are we seriously going to argue that we need more sampling to determine that the Bahco wrench is stronger than the Tekton wrench? I think not. Realistically, the average consumer doesn't need NASA level precision in these type of measurements to determine which wrench to buy.

@KarateSensei71 . Imagine thinking anything from the opposing political side is biased as opposed to all political propaganda.

I would recommend against any of these multi-tools. If you want to get him something similar get the DeWalt tire inflator (only) with a battery + charger (sold separately). It will be more expensive but for good reason. I have this unit and I love it. I would never buy a multi-tool designed for different emergencies. I hope this helps. Cheers!
4
Me too! Really enjoying this channel among other DIY channels.

This is the review we didn't know we needed on a much overlooked tool. Thanks for another great review! Cheers!

I bought the Audew based on another video from Project Farm. I've had it 2-3 years and it still going strong. I even use it during power outages as a power bank for my small electronics. Works perfectly.
3
@BA-gn3qb . I think some Mac tools are still made in Dallas. Same as the Proto.
3
Funny how the average Chinese don't give a shit about Americans but yet Americans are infatuated with insulting Chinese and their culture.
3
hahaha
3
The Milwaukee tire inflator is also a solid choice. Project Farm review it as well so just look up the other video for tire inflators.
3
100%!!! These multi-tools are a bad idea. I want separate tools for different emergencies.
3
@Nevir202 . Instead of making ignorant recommendations the OP could easily get the DeWalt or Milwaukee inflator (only) along with a battery and charger for inflating his tires during emergencies. A NOCO jump starter, among many other brands, is not very expensive and take up little room in the car. These multi-tools are a poor idea and one day you're going to find out the hard way because you decided saving a few bucks while mocking other people with more experience than you was more important.
3
I bought the DeWalt inflator last year because of this review and I couldn't be happier. Thanks!!
3
Good one! haha
3
@caramidacaramida3959 . These are the same people that forget to inflate their tires, change their engine oil, and replace their brake pads. They the same people playing with their phones while driving instead of paying attention to the road. Nothing new here.

LOL

I know its crazy! I've neglected my car for the last few years while I was in college and this year I decided that I'm going to keep it. I'm planning and slowly doing some work and each time I find myself in this channel by pure accident. Great videos!
2
@Ghost.uppercut . You could buy multiple ratchets from other brands for the cost of one Snap One ratchet. What an idiot.
2
Great suggestion!!
2
@mrfezzywig . How old are you? You sound like a kid that bought his first car trying to educate people who have owned and repaired cars for decades. I've been driving all over the USA for 25 years now and have NEVER seen a car catch on fire due to low tires. I also repair all my cars since my first car: '91 Mustang sedan v8. However, I've seen people destroy their tires and rims driving on low tires. You have no idea what you're talking about.
2
Yep. You need to have your valves adjusted and clean your pistonheads with Seafoam. Project Farm did a great video on his noisy truck - look it up.
2
Nepros and Koken are just on another level! Nepros ratchets looks like jewelry and are priced as such! lol
2
Pretty cool test! But its a disgrace that we have to go through so many hoops to protect our stuff. I'm guessing that if I wanted to get wheel locks I would try the Advance locks. Thanks for the test!
2
Pretty cool review! But I have individual tools made by quality companies like DeWalt and Milwaukee for each of those jobs. Also, I don't trust electric floor jacks but that's just me. Thanks for the review!
2
Considering Proto is an expensive industrial brand that's terrible.
2
Tools don't hold the same quality as they did many years ago. I have an old Husky wrench set and I recently added a couple of new ones to find out the quality is very different. My old set is 15+ years old.
2
Nothing beats SK's X-Frames. If you want the tightest arc get the X-frames. You won't regret it.
2
@shannontaylor1849 . haha
2
Yes!!
2
This is easily once of your best videos. Very impressive! Thanks!!
2
A good quality wrench is about more than just strength. There is no comparison between a low-end brand like Husky to top-tier brands like Mac, Proto, and Snap On. This video is mostly for entertainment since you and I both know that you aren't going to dish out $700 or a 12 piece set of Mac wrenches or more for Snap On.

Great way to start the new year! The surprise to me is the Yeti not performing as well as the other brands holding temperature. But I knew they weren't perfect as I used to take cold fluids with me to work and a mere few hours later I would loose coldness even if I put ice on the drink (which I'd rather not do since it dilutes any fluids other than water). That was really disappointing as I own some of their products. Maybe I'll invest in a Stanley brand insulated bottle. Thanks and Happy New Year!!
1
@riakata . I have several of the Yeti and they fulfill their purpose. But I used to carry them on a 2 hour commute to work in my backpack using public transportation. I'll keep your tip in mind. Thanks!

I think very few Mac tools are still made in the USA (Dallas I believe). They're now mostly made in Taiwan.

I've learned a lot about tools and have bought some of these very tools this year as a result of watching your videos. I'm primarily interested in performing my own automotive repairs and I'm very happy with my recent purchases to expand my existing tool kit. Thank you so much for putting these honest and well thought out experiments to help us buy the best tools for the money. Happy Holidays and I look forward to your 2021 videos!!

The moment I saw that SK X-Frame I knew the first test was over. lol. I have them and I love them! Awesome testing and comparison as usual!! Thanks!
1
Amazing video! Thank you!
1
Never heard of your brand but now I plan to get one of your screwdrivers. Way to go. Cheers!
1
Pretty cool! I was looking to get that Capri hex master set but I need to consider the Kobalt set now. Thanks!
1
Its a power tool. "tooth" count or lag makes zero difference. This is only relevant to hand tools where you need room to turn the wrench.
1
I have the DeWalt inflator (only) and I love it. I also have a separate battery jump starter. But I would never invest in a multi-tool like this designed for different emergencies.

Nice! Thanks!

I like the new music!

I'm glad that I can now justify blowing $50+ on a pair of Bosch windshield wipers! lol
