I remember my college professors ridiculing multi billion executives for making strategic mistakes that ruined companies. Yet, they're working in a classroom instead of running their own multi billion firm. Talk about hypocrisy.

If I understand you correctly, you know better than the credit agencies like Moodys who had SVB rated as high grade Aa1 just days before the collapse, the investors who pour over the bank's financial statements every quarter and the federal agencies that oversee these institutions. That's what you're saying? Do you know any banks that would survive a run of the bank worth 20% or more of the bank's total deposits in a span of 24 hours? From what you've stated so far it appears you don't understand the difference from an insolvent bank from a liquidity crisis caused by a run on the bank. I expect average joes to confuse matters but not finance professionals.
