  1. Don't forget the reason why Powell lowered rates in 2019 is because Trump fired Yellen after she raised rates and declared himself a "low interest rate guy." Trump put a lot of pressure on Powell to lower rates in an attempt to get re-elected - the same reason why Trump passed the biggest corporate tax break in decades!! This is exactly why monetary policy needs to be separate from politics.

To learn all the relevant information you need to do this requires you understand how to read company financial statements and financial concepts. Its not rocket science but it isn't a formula to plug in x and get y. It takes many hours (or days) to build a DCF model especially if you have never done one before. Anyone who invests without knowledge of calculating intrinsic value of a firm is clueless and just a talking head.
