1:29 its a shame that a good neighborhood like the North End has been turned into a tourist attraction.

Because its a made up illness. Grouping a bunch of behavioral issues and calling it a mental illness is not science.

Yep. We live in a sad world. We may gain new technology over time but humans are the same savages they have always been. If in doubt just check crime statistics and the never ending war mongering.

There was no information here and there won't be because adhd is a made up illness with no place in science. The symptoms of adhd apply to virtually all children like being inattentive, impulsive, etc...

Where was the scientific part of the video? Science requires cause and effect and there was none in this video.

Breathtaking!!

@ GorillaGuerilla, so does being hooked on narcotics. Its pathetic that in our society, USA, we think we can take a pill for everything so that we don't have to deal with the problem directly. Let's go ahead and drug all children so no one has to deal with disruptive or impulsive kids because god forbid they act like kids.

Moron. You missed the point.

The video talks about brain structure but fails to establish cause and effect. Is the brain structure different because of the behavioral issue or does the child have adhd because the deficiencies in brain structure? Is the behavioral issue a result of a poor parenting or environment growing up or is it genetic? ... which leads back to question one. The fact that there are so many children diagnosed with this "illness" tells me that there is something wrong with the diagnosis or definition of adhd as we are told by doctors and psychologists. adhd diagnosis are up 80% in the last ten years and rising. Does anyone care to guess when we will stop telling our children that there is something wrong with them and the only solution is a schedule II drug with narcotics?

Amazing beasts! The crocs in the beginning are massive!

Ok, so you'd rather give her a schedule II drug with narcotics? Do you realize the addictive nature of such drugs and the side effects related to it? I hate to tell you but its more likely there is something you are doing wrong as a parent than your child having some genetic deficiency causing her to misbehave. How much time do you spend with your child? Do you argue with her a lot or give her guilt trips on a regular basis? I don't need the answers but you need to take a look in the mirror and decide if your child truly deserves to be prescribed a narcotic so that you can free your time do to something else instead of dealing with the problem directly. Lastly, grouping a bunch of behavioral issues and calling them a mental is not science and never will be.

@morningglory31 . Do you know the difference between a "study" and real science? STFU!
1
Bingo! But what do bad parents do to overcome the problem they created? Will they spend the time and hardship it takes to correct the behavioral problem or simply issue a narcotic to their child? If they were responsible in the first place they would not have the problem in the first place. Grouping a bunch of behavioral issues and calling it a mental illness is not science.
1
Exactly, lets go ahead and sedate the children with narcotics because god forbid they act like children. Its easier to make the kids take a pill than spending time with them and guiding them.
