Exactly! I have a lot of respect for Buffett but clearly some of his advice is just hubris.

@ssuwandi3240 . Please explain to us how the company's 10-20 year moat or short term economic concerns changed enough to dump the stock after only 1 year. Surely, Buffett didn't expect smooth economic sailing for 10+ years as the long term horizon investor that he is .

@ssuwandi3240 . With all due respect, I think you're wrong on this one. Regardless, the point here is that Buffett claims to be a long term investor but turns around and dumps a stock after just 1 year. Its clear we can't take at face value everything he says. Anyway, cheers!

@syfenw6586 . That makes you a poor judge of character. If you have the same trouble picking stocks you shouldn't be investing on your own. Buffett is notorious for being a long term investor and has said that he doesn't care about quarterly earnings very much.

Without execution dates this information is nearly useless. Perhaps, Third Point was just trying to get ahead of the market and will repurchase the AMZN shares close to the bottom later this year or next year.
